Freda Mae Ennis, 88, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on September 5, 2020 at Valley Haven Geriatric Center in Beech Bottom, WV. Freda Mae was born on September 26, 1931, in Wellsburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late Annas Lemasters and Edith (White) Lemasters. Freda Mae was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and a member of Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church, Wellsburg, WV, where she taught Sunday School, served as the Sunday School Secretary, sang in the choir, and was an officer in the Women’s Missionary Society. She was well known for her ministry of sending birthday, anniversary, sympathy and get well cards to family, friends and church family. Freda Mae worked for Weisbergers Clothing in Follansbee, WV for 24 ½ years as a bookkeeper where she developed many friendships with her customers and coworkers. In addition to her parents, Freda Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Ennis, who passed on October 9, 1987, her son, James Ennis, an infant brother and sisters, Evalene Lishka and Alice Deneen. Freda Mae loved her family and is survived by her sons, Chuck Ennis, George Ennis, Tim (Judy) Ennis, all of Wellsburg, her daughter, Barbara (Thurman “Butch) Williams of Beech Bottom, WV, a daughter-in-law, Regina Ennis of Rivesville, WV, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 5:00-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at the Chambers Funeral Home, located at 1030 Main Street, Wellsburg, WV (304)737-3551 with Reverend Steven Hlatky, officiating. Please note that limited access and social distancing will be in place during visitation and funeral service. All attendees will be required to wear a mask or face covering. Hand sanitizer stations will be available. In addition, if you are unable to attend or not feeling well, please consider sending a card or leaving an online condolence. Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom, WV. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church Building Fund, 1340 Washington Pike, Wellsburg, WV.
