Salvatore S. Donato Of Marlton, NJ, passed away on September 6, 2020. He was 90 years old. Formerly of Philadelphia, Salvatore served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a master sewing machine mechanic and retired from the Quartermaster Depot in Philadelphia after 12 years. He formerly worked for Robert Bruce for over 40 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee McMenamin). Loving father of Linda Eckhardt (Bill), Debra Checa (Angel), Mary Ann LoVerde (Gaetano), Jeneen Stein (Donald), Samuel Donato and Charles Donato (Lorraine). Devoted grandfather of Michael and Jimmy Asaoka, Maria Davies (Michael), Mario LoVerde, Alec and Josh Stein and Luca Donato. One of ten siblings, he is survived by his sister Dolores DeAngelis (Joseph). He was predeceased by his siblings Joseph Donato, Anna Pino, Rose Velardi, Arlene Donato, Rita Molinaro, Jennie Macri, Andy Donato and Yolanda Donato. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. He was a kind and loving man who was always there for his family. He was also a music lover and a beautiful singer. The immediate family will gather for graveside services at Calvary Cemetery, 2398 Rt. 70 West in Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 at 1pm on Thursday, September 10.
