Carolyn “Ozzie” Sloan, age 81, of Rocky Face, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Ridgewood Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and JoAnna Hefner; brother, Jim Hefner; sister, Loraine Hefner; son, Mike Sloan; grandson, Tony Lofty; two sons-in-law, David Lofty and Andy LaRochelle. She is survived by her three daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Chris Overton of Dunedin, FL., Sharon Lofty of Rocky Face and Lynn LaRochelle of Dalton; grandchildren, Tracy Sloan, Matt Holden, Mont Overton, Josh Holden, Justin Sloan and Dustin Sloan, Debbie Cantrell, Ann Lofty and Connie Priest; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Hall officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends and the funeral home from 1:00 until the service time at 3:00 pm.
