Richard Ernest Palardy

Richard Ernest Palardy passed-away peacefully at Sagewood Care Center at the age of 84. Richard enjoyed many outdoor activities especially camping, hiking, and fly-fishing. Mavis and Richard were also avid square dancers, which was where they first met. In later years Richard enjoyed painting and would love to bend your ear telling stories of past adventures. Richard is predeceased by his wife Mavis, and son Brian; he leaves behind daughter Connie (Bob) Jackson, son Rick (Karla) Palardy, son Terrence Tyler/Dave Palardy, son Kevin (Tammy) Palardy, he is also survived by Mavis’s children, Alex (Patti) Chisholm, Elizabeth (Brent) North, Chris (Lee-Ann) Chisholm, Darrin (Patty) Chisholm, Dawn (John) MacInnes, 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren. Richard is also predeceased by his brother Ray Palardy, Bother In-law Roy Wedemire; he is also survived by his siblings, George (Vivian) Palardy, John (Joan) Palardy, Diana Wedemire, and Sister In-law Jeannine Palardy. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the caregivers at both Sagewood Care Center, Strathmore and Bethany Care Center, Calgary for all their work in making Richard comfortable in his final years. If so desired, memorial donations in memory of Richard may be made to the Strathmore Handi Bus (c/o Town of Strathmore, 680 Westchester Road, Strathmore, AB, T1P 1J1) or to the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 2:00 by invitation.
