Dr. Robert “Bob” Francis Miller, 86, of Cumberland, died on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born in Scranton, PA, on January 30, 1934, he was the son of the late Robert W. Miller and Cathleen (Cawley) Miller. He was preceded in death by his wife Deborah Lynne Miller; a granddaughter, Marissa Miller; and sister, Cathy Jaeger. Bob graduated from the University of Scranton and then continued his education at the Georgetown School of Medicine. Following medical school Bob entered the United States Air Force as a Captain, serving two years at Keesler Airforce base, Biloxi Mississippi. As a Board Certified Radiologist, he was a founding member of Allegany Imaging, and was on the staff at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital for over 50 years. His hobbies and interests included gardening, fishing, woodworking, and astronomy. Bob is survived by his first wife, Carol Miller Frost; his six children, Robert W. Miller and wife Cindy Miller, Charlotte NC, Douglas Miller and wife Kimberly Miller, Davidson NC, Carol Lewis and husband John Lewis, Chapel Hill NC, Kenneth Miller and wife Lisa Miller, Vienna, WV, Erik Miller and wife Leah Miller, Flintstone MD, and Kara Miller and longtime boyfriend Rob Ruggiero, Kittanning PA; nine grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Keegan Miller, Madison Lewis, Ciara Miller, Kendall Miller, Harper Lewis, Caelan Miller, Ben Lewis and Nixon Miller; and two sisters Eleanor Lietinger and Barbara Boland. Friends will be received at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave, on Monday, September 7th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, MD. Military Honors will be accorded by Ft. Cumberland Post 13 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorial contributions to honor Bob’s memory to any of the following: Union Rescue Mission, 16 Gulf Memorial Drive, Cumberland, MD 21502; LaVale Lions Club, P. O.
