<p>Ronald Dean &ldquo;Groove&rdquo; Downum age 70 of Whitwell passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020.&nbsp; He was preceded in death by his parents Dean &amp; Wilma Downum.&nbsp; Mr. Downum was retired from the Marion County Sherriff&rsquo;s&nbsp; office where he worked as a Deputy.</p> <p>Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years. Teresa Carol Tripp Downum; two children, Eric (Christie) Downum and Lisa Long all of Whitwell; three brothers, Donnie (Joy) Downum, Dale Downum, Jim (Keri) Downum;&nbsp; four grandchildren, Megan Long, Kendal Long, Kaylee King and Caleb Anderson.</p> <p>Graveside services will be 2PM, Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Teague Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Kilgore officiating.</p>

Obituary

Ronald Dean “Groove” Downum age 70 of Whitwell passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his parents Dean & Wilma Downum.  Mr. Downum was retired from the Marion County Sherriff’s  office where he worked as a Deputy.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 46 years.
