Neita M. Courtney, 90, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on March 11, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan. She is the daughter of James Robert and Flossie Mae (Martin) Craig. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the Bell Avenue Nursing Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. She married her best friend and sweetheart Floyd David Courtney on July 12, 1950, and he preceded her in death on January 28, 2020. She was a member of the Gateway Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Neita enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, canning, refinishing antiques and making homemade bread and cinnamon rolls. Most of all spending time with her loving family. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Gateway Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. Pastor Greg Newton will officiate. Interment will be at Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing her memory are her three sons, David Courtney and wife, Teana of Barling, Arkansas, Leslie Courtney and wife Juanita of Elk City, Oklahoma, Larry Courtney and wife, LuElla of El Reno, Oklahoma; two daughters, Terry Courtney of Elk City, Oklahoma, Brenda Adkins and husband Ray of Sayre, Oklahoma; four brothers, Jerry Craig of Sayre, Oklahoma, Charles Craig, Junior Craig of Michigan, Tommy Craig of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one sister Shirley Craig of Fort Worth, Texas; eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Courtney; parents, James and Flossie Craig; and one sister, Betty Jean Bourke.
