<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 05, 2020, Mr. Jack Earl Williams, age 87, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at Carolinas HealthCare System-Blue Ridge in Morganton.&nbsp; A native of McDowell County, born on May 10, 1933, he was the son of the late Grover and Mary Williams.</span></span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Williams; one grandson, Michael Williams; four brothers, Lester Williams, Talley Williams, Fred Williams and Ivy Williams; and three sisters, Helen Hutchins, Ruby Williams and Pearl Nichols.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">An amazing and wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother, Jack enjoyed fishing.&nbsp; It did his heart good to spend time with his precious family, especially his children and grandchildren.&nbsp; Jack loved to travel to the mountains and take in the beautiful views.&nbsp; A member of Faith Baptist Church, he and his wife, Marie, would make time each morning to read from their Bible.&nbsp;</span></span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 66 years, Thelma Marie Williams; one daughter, Ann Williams Duckworth (Wayne), three sons, Wayne Williams (Betty), Steve Williams (Penny) and Leonard Williams (Diana); one brother, Frank Williams; one sister-in-law Faye Williams;&nbsp;nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.</span></span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong><span style="font-size:16px;"><span style="font-family:georgia,serif;">A private service will be held at Beam Funeral Service &amp; Crematory.&nbsp; Mr. Williams will be laid to rest at McDowell Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 08, 2020.</span></span></strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 05, 2020, Mr. Jack Earl Williams, age 87, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away at Carolinas HealthCare System-Blue Ridge in Morganton.  A native of McDowell County, born on May 10, 1933, he was the son of the late Grover and Mary Williams.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Williams; one grandson, Michael Williams; four brothers, Lester Williams, Talley Williams, Fred Williams and Ivy Williams; and three sisters, Helen Hutchins, Ruby Williams and Pearl Nichols.
