Wanda Jean Gardner, age 73, of Buchanan, Georgia passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020. She was born on April 20, 1947 in Tallapoosa, Georgia daughter of the late James Luther Richards and the late Vivian Sue Wade Richards. She was a homemaker and a member of Valley View Baptist Church. Wanda is survived by her husband, Robert D. “Bob” Gardner; son, Mike Smith and wife Melinda of Buchanan; stepdaughter, Robin Findley and husband Will of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Brett and Taylor Smith, Taylor Smith and Shawn Cole, Kanton and Baylee Smith, Robert Findley, Jessica and Jasper Patterson; great grandchildren, Waylon Smith, Wyatt Smith, Sutter Smith, Austin Eubanks, Micah Eubanks, Sadie Mae Smith, E.K. Smith, Brayden Patterson. In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by daughters, Diane Smith, Stacey Smith; brother, Harold Richards; sister, Belinda Folsom. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 7, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at the funeral home with Reverend Richard Brannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery.
