Jose Roque Cabrera
<p>Jose R. Cabrera, surrounded by his family, entered everlasting rest peacefully at home on Saturday, September 5th. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but we are thankful to God for allowing us to have had him for such a long time (8/22/1923 - 9/5/2020, 97 years). We will miss you, dad. May you RIP!</p> <p>He was born in San Juan and Martinez, Cuba to his parents Paula (Garcia) and Roque Cabrera.</p> <p>Jose will always be remembered by his devoted wife Flora Cabrera along with their children Jose A. Cabrera and his wife Maria, Alberto Cabrera and his wife, Pura, Miguel A. Cabrera, Gloria Martinez and her husband Rolando. He was pre-deceased by his oldest son Luis Cabrera.</p> <p>He is survived by his cherished grandchildren Alex, Priscilla, Pablo, Matthew, Courtney, Andrew, Nicholas and Austin.</p> <p>Jose was one of 11 children and he leaves behind his dear siblings, Manuela, Rita and Cristobal and was pre- deceased by David, Maria, Ida, Ezequiel, Emelina, Gabriel, and Simon.</p> <p>Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, September 9th, from 3:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.</p> <p>Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, 11 am at St. Augustine's RC Church, Union City.</p> <p>Entombment to follow at Flower Hill Mausoleum, North Bergen, NJ.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Heart Association.</p> <p><a href="https://www.heart.org/">www.heart.org/</a></p> <p> </p>Obituary
