VonDarrell A Cunningham Obituary

VonDarrell’s Life Story

Our wonderful, loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away from an extended illness on September 3, 2020

VonDarrell was born in Portland, Oregon on February 12, 1953 to Alonzie and Otha Ree Cunningham.  He was one of eight children. The following preceded VonDarrell in death: his parents, and siblings, Ronald Cunningham, Richard Cunningham, Arthur Cunningham, Barry Cunningham, and Larry Cunningham. His surviving siblings include Alonzie Cunningham, and Bonnie Cunningham.

VonDarrell was a loving father of three lovely daughters: Katonna Cunningham, Narichica Handy and Crinae Cunningham. His grandchildren include: Alexandria Lagua, Alysha Lagua, Thomas Handy, Hannah Handy, Tamoshie Jones, Craig Jones, Demetrius Morris, Daysha Morris and many great grandchildren. VonDarrell also had many nieces and nephews. Vondarrell later married his loving wife Regina Cunningham, they were married for 18 years.

He attended and graduated from Jefferson High School. He loved being outdoors.  Fishing was his favorite hobby. He enjoyed being near the water.

VonDarrell loved being around family and friends; when VonDarrell was not working you could find him on the banks, fishing and joking with loved ones.  He had a great sense of humor and always kept his friends and family laughing along with him as he shared stories and memories.

VonDarrell started his own business as a Floor and Carpet Technician.  He was a very hard worker. Von was known for always doing an excellent job and had many loyal and satisfied customers throughout the states of Oregon and Washington.

He was known by all for his generosity, his kindness, his humor, and his non-judgmental approach to people and life. VonDarrell was known to be very forgiving and always saw the best in everyone.

He was a man loved and cherished by all. He will be dearly missed and remembered joyously.
