Carolyn Sue "Suzie" Westerfield Shannon, 69, a resident of Beverly, passed from this life Saturday, September 5, 2020, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. Suzie was born Saturday, November 18, 1950, in Henrietta, TX, a daughter Robert Westerfield and Louie Fern Mowery Westerfield. She was married to Kenneth “Kenny” Neal Shannon who preceded her in death in 2014. Left to cherish her memory is one son, Keith Neal Shannon, Jr., one daughter, Sara Marie Rowe and husband, Billy, all of Beverly, five grandchildren, Travis Beam, Katie Rowe, Gracie Rowe, Cheyenne Shannon, and Devon Collins, and four sisters Robbie Clem, Sheila Doolen, Michelle Yokum, and Diane Westerfield, and her beloved Chihuahua, Penny. Preceding her in death besides her parent and husband, was one son, Michael D. Shannon, and one sister, Joyce Dudley. Suzie attended school in Valley Center, Kansas and had later been employed at Reidbord Brothers in Elkins. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and considered herself a quilting hobbyist. Above all, Suzie enjoyed being a loving wife, and a dedicated mother. Suzie’s request for cremation will be honored. A celebration of life will be held at the Randolph Funeral Home Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 2 until 4 pm. As we continue following guidelines from the CDC and Gov.
