Ms. Maggie Lucas, 88 of Mt. Vernon, passed from this life on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital. She was born in Mt. Vernon, KY on May 26, 1932 the daughter of James and Rosa Farmer Henson. She was a retired clerk for the Daniel Boone Weatherization Office, a former member of the Order of the Easter Star, and member of Northside Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Michael Cromer and wife Sandy, and Roy Lucas and wife Veronica, both of Mt. Vernon; a sister, Nancy Burton of Mt. Vernon; two grandchildren, Allison Cromer and Jason Cromer; four great grandchildren, McKayla Gardiner, Morgan Cromer, Anna Guinn, and Rayleigh Cromer; and a great-great grandson, Alexander Coffey. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter; and six sisters, Mae, Mary, Cora, Carol, Jeanne, and Johnetta.
