Donald Phillpotts Saginaw, Michigan Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Covenant Medical Center at the age of 91 years. He was born on June 17, 1929 to the late Charles and Bernice (Tremlin) Phillpotts in Pinconning, Michigan. Don married Judiene “Judy” Gillman his loving wife of 50 years on May 5, 1956 in Pinconning. She predeceased him on August 14, 2006. Don graduated from Pinconning High School, and served our nation in the United States Army from 1951-1952 during the Korean War. Don graduated from Northeastern School of Commerce and started his accounting career with Yeo & Yeo. Don later became Sr. Vice President of Finance at Saginaw General Hospital were worked for 31 ½ years and retired in 1994. Don was a member of various civic organizations and boards in the area. Don enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Don is survived by his four children Abigail (Carlos) Vera, Victor (Patricia) Phillpotts, Amy (William) Sulkanen and Bradford (Christie) Phillpotts. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was predeceased by his second wife Karan Loeffler on July 9, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his sister Elaine Whyte. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to his caregiver Krista Ahler. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at WL Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Bill Bodnar will officiate. A private family entombment will follow at St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
