<p>EUNICE~It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lucius LeDoux, Jr. announces his passing on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Ellington in Rayne at the age of 82. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice. Entombment will follow in the St. Paul Mausoleum with Deacon Gary Gaudin, officiating.</p> <p> Lucius was proud to be a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a United States Postal Service Letter Carrier and Assistant Postmaster in Eunice for many years and retired as Postmaster in Rayne. Lucius enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening in his spare time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him especially his wife of 67 years, Emma Bertrand LeDoux of Mamou; his children, James LeDoux and wife, Autumn Grooms LeDoux of Surprise, AZ, Jennifer Lynn Smith of Carencro, Marilyn Sue Penouilh and husband, Stephen Simmons of LaMirada, CA, Denise LeDoux of Eunice, and Stephanie LeDoux of Youngsville; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.</p> <p> He is preceded in death by his parents, Lucius LeDoux, Sr. and Olivia Richard LeDoux; and numerous siblings.</p> <p> Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, September 8th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Wednesday, September 9th from 8:00 am until time of services.
