<p>Katie &lsquo;Fern&rsquo; Cox Curtis, age 82, of Charleston, passed away on Friday September 4, 2020, at Tennova Hospital in Cleveland.</p> <p>&nbsp;A native of Crossville and lifelong resident of Bradley County, she was the daughter of the late Link and Mildred Hamby Cox.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Hutsell, sons-in-law C.L. Hutsell and Billy Sutton, and brothers Kenneth Cox and Grant Cox.</p> <p>She attended Charleston Cumberland Presbyterian Church.</p> <p>Fern was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and nana.&nbsp; She will be greatly missed.</p> <p>She is survived her husband of 63 years, James Curtis of Charleston,</p> <p>daughters Cynthia Sutton of Charleston and Denise and Rick Barnes of Cleveland,</p> <p>grandsons, Adam Sutton and wife Stacey, Christopher Sutton and wife Carrie, Matthew Barnes and wife Allison, David Barnes, Logan Sutton and wife Cara,</p> <p>great-granddaughters Mahlon and Caroline Sutton,</p> <p>brothers Boyd Cox and wife Elaine, Glenn Cox and wife Judy.</p> <p>Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m CST, Sunday, September 6, 2020, at Fredonia Cemetery in Crossville with Pastor Adam Sutton officiating.</p> <p>Family will serve as pallbearers.</p> <p>If you are unable to attend the graveside service, please sign the online registry at: <a href="http://www.zieglerfuneralhome.com" target="_blank">www.zieglerfuneralhome.com</a> &nbsp;</p> <p>Ziegler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Katie &lsquo;Fern&rsquo; Cox Curtis.</p>

Katie ‘Fern’ Cox Curtis, age 82, of Charleston, passed away on Friday September 4, 2020, at Tennova Hospital in Cleveland.

 A native of Crossville and lifelong resident of Bradley County, she was the daughter of the late Link and Mildred Hamby Cox.
