Horst Guenther Fleischmann
<p>Horst Guenther Fleischmann passed away on September 1, 2020, in Pahrump, Nevada. He was born on February 13, 1937, in Blecken, East Prussia, to August and Martha Fleischmann. </p> <p>He had eight siblings: Herbert, Gerhardt, Erna, Herta, Lisa, Ola, Troute, and Crystal (who died in infancy).</p> <p>Horst grew up in Ratzeburg, West Germany after his family had to leave East Prussia during World War II. After graduating high school, he trained as a butcher. In 1959, at the age of 22, Horst immigrated to the United States.</p> <p>Settling in Dallas, Oregon, he worked as a Stone Mason. He taught himself how to read and write in English. He married Judith Thurston in 1964, and they were married for 56 years.</p> <p>In 1968, his son Michael was born. And in 1972, his daughter Crystal was born.</p> <p>In 2009, Horst became a happy "Opa" (grandpa in German) when his grandson Richard was born. </p> <p>Horst's favorite hobbies were gardening and fishing. Horst was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family.</p> <p> </p>Obituary
