Margaret Evangeline (Pauls) Burwash

August 2nd, 1927 – August 14th, 2020

Margaret E. Burwash passed away on August 14th, 2020.

Marge was born in Grassy Lake, Alberta and was the daughter of Katerina Epp and Abram Pauls. She was the first child in her family to be born in Canada.  On July 5th, 1952 she married Stanley Burwash and they lived in Calgary, before moving to the Burwash family farm in Carmangay where they lived for many years before moving to Claresholm.

Marge was dedicated to her family and worked extremely hard to provide for them.  To this end she worked at several jobs in Claresholm including being the owner/operator of the Charme Shop Adorne women’s clothing store for several years.  Her faith was a constant throughout her life and although in recent years she was unable to attend church she followed religious programming to remain connected with fellow believers.

Marge is survived by her children, Donna Parker, Norma Embury, Darlene (Johanne) Burwash, Judy (Dwayne) Anderson and Clifford (Crystal) Burwash as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sisters Tina, Lena, Anne, Lydia, Janet, and her brothers Dave and Cornie. She was predeceased by her husband Stanley, her mother, father and brothers Abe, John and Peter.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM at Zentner Funeral Homes (4079 First Street West Claresholm, AB) on September 12th, 2020 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Carmangay Cemetery.
