<p>Oleah Elizabeth King Rupert, age 92, a resident of Bay Minette, AL passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at her residence. Oleah was born September 3, 1927 in Bay Minette in the Carney Community to Otto and Janie Doran King.&nbsp; Prior to her marriage, Oleah worked as a supervisor for Southern Bell Company.&nbsp; After she married her husband Vic they moved to Western New York in 1947. She retired as director of Parks and Recreation for the Village of Fredonia/Town of Pomfret in 1985. In 1990 they retired back to Bay Minette.&nbsp; Her memberships included Zonta Club, Fredonia Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star where she served as worthy matron, the Red Hat Society and Daughters of American Revelation. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fredonia. Upon relocating to the South, she transferred her member to the First United Methodist Church in Bay Minette. She served as a Sunday School teacher and on various committees.</p> <p>She is survived by her daughters, Sylvia Barber and Cynthia Bergeron; a son, E. Victor (Lynne) Rupert, III; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Arlene Summerhill, Margorie Burke, Deloris Rupert and Sandi Rupert and brother-in-law, Mark Rupert.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her husband, of 67 years, E. Victor Rupert, Jr; her parents; sisters, Noramae King, Avasola Holborrow, Marjorie McLendon, Mary Roll and Gertrude Stocking; brothers, Johnson King and Otto King; sisters-in-law, Alice Emad and Marie Reinhoudt and a brother-in-law, David Rupert.</p> <p>Funeral services will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 120 W 2nd St., Bay Minette, AL with Reverend Marty Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL at 1:30 p.m.</p> <p>The family will receive friends Friday, September 4, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. service at the First United Methodist Church.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 338, Bay Minette, AL 36507.</p> <p>The family would like to thank Dr. Gary Kolb and is staff for their years of care and Springhill Hospice for their loving attention to mom for the past two years.</p>
