<p>Obit Jean Loraine Jacobitz-101 of Hebron, NE</p> <p>Kroll Funeral Home Hebron, NE</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Jean Loraine (Corliss) Jacobitz the daughter of Martin and Gladys (Harter) Corliss was born September 24, 1918 on the family farm near Hebron, NE. She departed this life Tuesday, Sept 1, 2020 at Thayer County Health Services in Hebron, NE at the age of 101 years, 11 months, and 7 days.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was a lifetime member of the Christian Church in Hebron, NE, where she was a member CWF and helped where needed with many activities.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She attended country school at District 23 southeast of Hebron and she would ride her horse or bicycle to school. She graduated from Hebron High School with the class of 1936. She continued her education attending beauty school in Beatrice, NE. She operated a beauty salon in Superior, NE.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Jean married Corporal Lyle Jacobitz on June 12, 1943 at the 357th Infantry Chapel in Camp Barkeley, TX. This union was blessed with the birth of four children.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Jean enjoyed traveling to many Corliss family reunions throughout the United States. Most of all Jean enjoyed spending time with her family especially the grandchildren.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She was a charter member of The Avalon Extension Club, and also a member of the VFW Auxiliary #3528 and #3113.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>They lived on the family farm southeast of Hebron where she enjoyed her flowers, gardening, canning and her chickens especially delivering fresh farm eggs to numerous people.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>She is preceded in death by parents, husband Lyle on November 14, 1997 and brother Donald Corliss on March 3, 1975.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Left to cherish her memory is son Lonny Jacobitz of Hebron, NE, daughters; Connie Jedlicka and husband Lumir of Schuyler, NE, Bonnie Bergmeyer and husband Donald of Lincoln, NE, and Catherine Jacobitz of Lincoln, NE, sisters-in-law Leona Corliss of Ventura, CA, and Ivalee Jacobitz of Nelson, NE, grandchildren; Kristie Wolfard and husband Tracy of Florence, OR, Clay Jedlicka and wife Amanda of Schuyler, NE, great-grandchildren; Bela Jean and Dusty Jedlicka, nieces, nephews and friends.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Funeral service will be held Friday, September 4, 2020 at the First Community Church in Hebron, NE at 2PM. Officiant Pastor Steve Speichinger. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Kroll Funeral Home in Hebron 2-6 PM. Casket bearers; Kristie Wolfard, Clay Jedlicka, Jim Schroeder, Gene Fischer, Mike Fischer, and Glen Fischer. Organist Judy Kassebaum, congregational hymns &ldquo;The Old Rugged Cross&rdquo;, &ldquo;How Great Thou Art&rdquo; and &ldquo;On Eagles Wings&rdquo;. Memorials in care of the family. Condolences may be left a www.krollfh.com. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron, NE. Kroll Funeral Home of Hebron is in charge of arrangements.</p>
