<p>Gisela H. Rodriguez, age 82, of Milford, beloved wife of Jose Rodriguez, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.&nbsp; Gisela was born in Cuba on January 7, 1938 to the late Leopoldo and Luz Marina Hernandez Laffitte.</p> <p>Gisela retired from the Bridgeport Board of Education after 15 years of service and prior to that she owned and operated Gisel&#39;s Bakery in Bridgeport for many years where she enjoyed her love of baking and business.&nbsp; A world traveler with a radiant, graceful soul, she always prioritized family above all.</p> <p>A most loving and devoted mother and grandmother,&nbsp; Gisela will be forever missed and survived by her husband Jose Rodriguez, her children, Gisel Zergiebel (Earl) of Guilford and Carlos Rodriguez (Ana), six grandchildren; Luke, Eric and Rhiannon Zergiebel and Steven, Kevin and Katie Rodriguez and her seven siblings; Leopoldo Laffitte, Consuelo (Juan) Fresco, Alberto (Zeida) Laffitte, Carolina Alvarez, Raul (Susie) Laffitte, and Milagro (Domingo) De Guzman along with many beloved nieces and nephews.&nbsp; Gisela is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Herminio Alvarez.</p> <p>Services will be at St. Anne&#39;s Church, 501 Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, CT on Monday, September 7, 2020 at 11:00am. &nbsp;</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, http://www.lls.org/.&nbsp; To share a memory please go to www.gregoryfdoylefuneralhome.com.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

Gisela H. Rodriguez, age 82, of Milford, beloved wife of Jose Rodriguez, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  Gisela was born in Cuba on January 7, 1938 to the late Leopoldo and Luz Marina Hernandez Laffitte.

Gisela retired from the Bridgeport Board of Education after 15 years of service and prior to that she owned and operated Gisel's Bakery in Bridgeport for many years where she enjoyed her love of baking and business.  A world traveler with a radiant, graceful soul, she always prioritized family above all.
