<p>Ms. Betty Jean Chatman was a native of Natchez, MS, and a resident of Pascagoula, MS for over 30 years.&nbsp; Ms. Chatman passed from this life on Monday, August 31, 2020. She was a member and usher of the Bible Study Baptist Church and was employed by Ingalls Shipbuilding, as a Welder before retiring after 18 years of service.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mamie Washington; a brother, Walter Lee Washington; and a sister, Fayola Stewart, all of Natchez, MS.</p> <p>She is survived by her sons, Jay Washington and Jerome Chatman; two sisters, Pearl Washington and Gradye (Charles) Wallace of Natchez, MS; one brother, Terry (Valerija) Washington of Maryland; several loving nieces and nephews; and other caring relatives and friends.</p>

Ms. Betty Jean Chatman was a native of Natchez, MS, and a resident of Pascagoula, MS for over 30 years.  Ms. Chatman passed from this life on Monday, August 31, 2020.
