Lillian Ethel Chaney, 90 of East Lynn, WV, died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel by Preacher Gordon Workman and Rodney Scott. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV. She was born December 30, 1929 in Logan, WV, a daughter of the late Hillary and Medora Watts Chaney. She lived her life for the Lord and served as a Sunday school teacher at Big Lynn Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. Also preceding her in death was a son Harold (Tommy) Staley; two grandchildren, Martha Scott and Kenny James Workman; a great grandson, Aden King; a sister, Edith Chaney; five brothers, Curtis, Dewey, Darrell, Hubert and Junior Chaney. Survivors include seven daughters, Linda Staley of Sandusky, OH, Norma Adkins of Wayne, WV, Joyce Adkins (Carlos) of East Lynn, WV, Dora Adkins (Anthony) of Wayne, WV, Lois Staley of Ironton, OH, Edie Wright (Kevin) of Wayne, WV, Myrtle Williamson (Michael) of Ashland, KY; a brother, Norman Chaney of Lavalette, WV; eighteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Friends may call one hour prior to services at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, WV. Due to Covid-19, masks and social distancing will be required.
