Alicia Mae Scales

Alicia M. Scales, 44 of Pittsfield, passed away August 26, 2020 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Pittsfield on May 10, 1976 to Robert K. Scales Sr., and Sharon E. Bailey Scales. She attended Pittsfield High School and continued her education at Mildred Elley, where she studied Medical Transcripts and received her certificate from there. At one time she worked for K.B. Toys Headquarters, Springside Nursing Home and also was a housekeeper at various hotels. Alicia was a communicant of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren and going on adventures with her son. She also liked to collect anything with wolves, like figurines and pictures. She is survived by her parents, Robert “Duke” and Sharon Scales of Pittsfield; her son, DeSean Scales and his companion, Leann Keeler of Pittsfield; her daughter, Tyniesha Scales of Pittsfield; brother, Robert K. Scales, Jr. and wife Becky of Pittsfield; and sister, Tynia Nataro of North Carolina. As well as three grandchildren, Ellouise, Seliem, and Elliana Scales. She also leaves her niece, Octavia Scales and nephews, Michael and Salvatore Nataro and many cousins, aunts and uncles. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Ms. Scales will be held THURSDAY, September 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be held at a later date. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA, to help the family defray expenses.
