Lee Carroll Obituary

Steven “Lee” Carroll, age 73, of Vancleave, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020 at his home. He was born March 29, 1947 in Moss Point, MS and spent his childhood in Stevenson, California. He raised his family in Pacifica, CA for 33 years and has been a resident of Vancleave for 13 years. He was a former employee for 13 years at Franciscan Hobbies in San Francisco, CA and retired in 2007 from Berkeley Farms in San Francisco after over 20 years of employment. Lee enjoyed R C Model Airplanes and was a former secretary for Koast Air Modeling Society and member of Azelea City Model Aeronautics.   He enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, coaching Little League and assisting with Girl Scouts. Lee devoted his life to his family and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend to all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Jean D’Anna; father, Edward Carroll; sister -in -law, Regina Carroll and numerous aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Marsha Carroll, Vancleave; daughter, Laura Fortman (Rob), Ocean Springs; son, Tim Carroll (Jerusha), Mandeville, LA; two grandchildren, Patrick Lee Fortman (fiancé’, Skylar) and Abigail Carroll; one great grandson, Bryson Fortman; two brothers, Donald Carroll (Barbara), Pascagoula; Ronald Carroll (Kay), Vancleave; step-sister, Jackie Fortner (Leo), Mobile, AL; step-brother, Henry Tylicki (Pearl), Wetumpka, Alabama; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and great friends.

Due to COVID-19, the family will be arranging a Memorial Service for him at later and safer date.  You may send memorials in his memory at American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org) or AMA Foundation (www.amafoundation.modelaircraft.org) You may send condolences to his family or share a memory of him for his family to treasure on the Tribute Wall of this website.
