<p>Paul Hoyle age 77 of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Jefferson County Health Center.</p> <p><strong>Open visitation will be 8:00 a.m. &ndash; 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2020, at Behner Funeral Home.&nbsp; Cremation will follow the visitation.</strong></p> <p><strong>Graveside memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 4, 2020, at Wright Cemetery with words of comfort from Jason Crandall.</strong></p> <p><strong>In-lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude&rsquo;s Children Hospital or to donor&rsquo;s choice.&nbsp; Cards and memorials may be mailed to Karen Hoyle, 2417 200th Street, Fairfield, Iowa 52556.</strong></p> <p>Paul was born February 27, 1943, to Dwight and Louise (Cady) Hoyle in Washington County.&nbsp; He married Karen Garretson at the First Baptist Church on March 15, 1964.&nbsp; This year they celebrated 56 years of marriage.</p> <p>Paul graduated from Fairfield High School Class of 1961.&nbsp; He was a farmer and retired from Jefferson County Road Department.&nbsp; Paul enjoyed working on tractors, attending Old Threshers and his favorite farm tractor was John Deere.&nbsp; He belonged to a coffee club but most important was spending time with his family.</p> <p>He will be missed by his wife, Karen; son, Edward Paul Hoyle; his siblings, Gene (Lori) Hoyle, Glen (Jane) Hoyle, Marilyn (Dick) Martin, Kathryn (Dick) Newman, Donna (Beryl) Rugg, Wayne (Amy) Hoyle; sister-in-law&rsquo;s, Kay Hoyle, Carol Hoyle Galbraith; and several nieces &amp; nephews.</p> <p>Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Louise; brothers, Delbert &amp; Larry; sisters, Bertha and infant sister Luella; his in-laws, Eugene &amp; Mildred Garretson; sister-in-law, Mary Kessel Garretson; brother-in-law, Horst Joos; and nieces and nephews.</p>
