Adelaida Calderon Alvarado Obituary

Funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Adelaida C. Alvarado of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Alvarado, 92, died August 27, 2020 at Desert Springs Nursing Facility in Hobbs, N.M.

Fr. V.J. will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Andrea Alvarado, Peter Alvarado, Adrian Campos, Jonathan Alvarado, Fabian Alvarado. Cipriano Alvarado, Jesus Alvarado. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danielle Alvarado and Roxy Alvarado

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Monday, August 31, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.

A Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

In the early morning hours on Thursday August 27th, 2020 God called his beautiful angel to enter his kingdom of Heaven. Adelaida Calderon Alvarado was born on January 14th, 1928 to Manuel Calderon and Vivianna Valenzuela Calderon. She was born and raised in Loving, NM along with her siblings.

On September 3rd, 1950 she married Jesus Guerrero Alvarado . Adelaida was a homemaker whom, along with her husband together raised their 8 children. Adelaida was a member of Our Lady Of Grace Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus G. Alvarado,daughter Helen Alvarado, grandson Gabriel Alvarado, son in law Armando Villalobos, sisters Juanita Perez, Azusena Brito, Eva Bonilla and Viviana (Lola) Gomez. Brothers Pilar Calderon, Manuel Calderon, Victor Calderon, Francisco Calderon, Alfredo Calderon.

She is survived by her daughter Irene Villalobos of Hobbs NM; sons Jesus Alvarado Jr and wife Lena of Artesia NM, Manuel Alvarado and wife Margaret of Hobbs, Peter Alvarado and wife Gloria of Monument NM, Ricardo Alvarado of Las Cruces, Lalo Alvarado and wife Lori of Hobbs, and Martin Alvarado and wife Frances of Artesia. She is also survived by 30 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
