Kernersville, NC – Rev. Archie Proctor Fulkerson, Jr., 81, passed away Thursday, August 27. 2020.

Born October 13, 1938, in Louisville, KY, Archie was the son of the late Archie Proctor Fulkerson and Virginia Miller Fulkerson Happel. He was a retired Wesleyan Minister and had ministered in numerous churches throughout Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina and Georgia. He had been a resident of Kernersville since 2006, and was a member of Shady Grove Wesleyan Church.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Martha Groves Fulkerson, of the home; his mother, Virginia Fulkerson Happel, of Jacksonville, FL; children, Rebecca (Becky) Hendricks and husband, Richard (Rick), of Kernersville, and David Fulkerson and wife, Lisa, of Naples, FL; seven grandchildren, Katlyn Stupica and husband, Mike, Ryan Hendricks, Jordan Lewis, Jensen Fulkerson, Roman Hendricks and wife, Brittany, Austin Lewis, and Christian Fulkerson; and a great granddaughter, Maren Stupica. Also surviving are three sisters, Nora Jean Brooks, Kay Happel, and Ann Happel; a brother, Greg Happel; and many nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, current services are private. A public Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2020, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.
