Gay Lynne Sanders, 78, passed away on August 28, 2020 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Gay Lynne was born on August 23, 1942 to Harold and Eula (Wiser) Elsey in Checotah, Oklahoma. 

Gay Lynne graduated from Central High School, 1960, in Muskogee.  She graduated from cosmetology school and opened her own salon, La Villa Beauty Salon where she worked along side her mother Eula.  She also owned several businesses and restaurants and was well known for her famous BBQ. 

She married Bill Sanders on November 24, 1961.  Their union was blessed with one son, Brent.  The family were avid dirt track racers and Gay Lynne was always involved supporting her husband and son.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dean.  Gay Lynne is survived by her husband, Bill of Muskogee; son, Brent and wife Sandy of Nebraska; grandchildren, Marissa and Kyle Sanders of Oklahoma City; sisters-in-law, Johnnie Sue Elrod and husband Joel and Joanne Cardwell, along with nieces, nephews, and  many cousins.

Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Westside Church of Christ in Muskogee.  A celebration of her life will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at the church.  Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee.
