Marianne Stroud Obituary

Marianne Stroud (51) of Fayetteville, WV passed away suddenly while on vacation in Tennessee.  Marianne was known for her outgoing personality and her love of travel and adventure.  Marianne was very active in her community and spent much of her free time volunteering for the Red Cross. One of her favorite songs was Tim McGraw's, Live Like You Were Dying, and that's how she chose to live her life.    Marianne was born on September 9, 1965 in Beckley, WV.  She was the youngest of the children born to the late John and Mary Josephine Stroud of Edmond, WV.  Marianne is survived by her Fiancé, David Mitchell, as well as her brothers John Stroud (Linda) of Beckley, WV, Joe Stroud (Debbie) of Vermilion, OH, and Gary Lee Stroud (deceased) of Edmond, WV, her sisters, Cheryl Norman (Doug) of Annandale, VA, Stephanie Meadows (Lee) of Layland, WV and Carol Meadows of Oak Hill, WV.  She left behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as numerous friends.   A Memorial Service to celebrate Marianne's life and spirit will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, May 18  2017at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ansted, with the Reverend Doc Adkins, officiating.  There will be a visitation for friends from 12:00-2:00 on Thursday prior to the funeral service.  Marianne will be laid to rest with her parents at Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor.
