Betty L Kraft, was born on May 16, 1928 in Lake View, Iowa, to Fay and Cecelia (Hewitt) Vauble. She passed away at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville on August 27, 2020 at the age of 92 years.
Betty grew up in the Sac City, Iowa area. She was united in marriage to Paul Kraft on July 30, 1945 in Sac City, Iowa. The couple moved to Estherville in 1949. Betty was employed at Good Samaritan Society as a CNA for 26 years retiring in 1989. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville. The couple enjoyed camping and fishing together. She also liked to read, do embroidery work, and listen to western music. Paul passed away on March 30, 1998.
Betty is survived by her sons: Dennis (Karen) Kraft of Estherville and Terry (Beth) Kraft of Spirit Lake; grandchildren Marshall (Mary) Kraft of Princeton, MN, Brent (Pam) Kraft of Marion, Melissa Irmiter (Special Friend Danny Mosley) of Algona, Christopher (Susan) Kraft of Spirit Lake, Kathryn "K.C." (Dalton) Kidd of Arnold’s Park; great-grandchildren: Riley Irmiter, and Alex, Carter, and Riley Kraft, Hailey (David) Hauge, Max Halverson, Sophia (Zachary Atzert) Genovese, and great-great grandchildren: Lillian and Vivian Hauge.
Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings Mamie Schmidt, LeRoy Vauble, Clara Larison, Iva McClintock, Alvin "Dean" Vauble, Fred Vauble, Phyllis Tuttle, Barbara Green, Robert Vauble, Donna Peyton, Kenneth Vauble and Ralph Vauble.
