It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ann Sharon Running Rabbit (Koomitahpakii – Snow Woman) on August 24, 2020 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital.  Ann Sharon leaves behind her three children Cynthia (Randall) Poucette, Leslie Running Rabbit, Sherri (Jaylen) Running Rabbit, adopted daughter Bobbi (Darrin), Step daughter Rhondelle Axe Grandchildren Allison, Randi(Gabe), Cassidy(Mercedis), Chelsea, Riley, Davis, adopted granddaughter Flora Poucette, great grandchildren Tristen, Emma, Suri, LJ, Lilli, Sloan, Jace, Zakkary. Siblings: Mike (Connie) Rabbit Carrier, Rosaline Creighton, Gerald (Donna) Running Rabbit, Vivian Running Rabbit. Only surviving Auntie Annie Sharp from Portland Oregon, Brother in Law Victor Starlight, Sister in Law Roanna Axe Nieces and nephews from the Rabbit Carrier family, Starlight family, Creighton family, Axe family as well as numerous relatives from the Running Rabbits, Duck Chiefs, Big Snakes, Spring Chiefs, Royals, Medicine Shields, Many Heads, Big Eye, Storm, Bear Hats, Franks and many, many more relatives that are too numerous to name from Siksika, Kainai, Brocket, Tsuut’ina, Browning we apologize for those we did not mention as Ann Sharon had so many relatives. Ann Sharon’s cousin and partner in crime cousin Dorian Elridge from Seattle Washington. Ann Sharon was predeceased by her husband Randall Axe, son Dwayne Healy, parents Mike and Francis Running Rabbit, siblings Eleanor Starlight, Stanley Running Rabbit, nephews Victor(Jr) Starlight, Kojak Running Rabbit, grandparents Charlie and Mary Royal, Houghton and Annie Running Rabbit. Anne Sharon was a fun loving person who loved to laugh and have fun.  She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends and loved her grandchildren dearly. Wake will be held on August 30, 2020 at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbor, 3 to 4 pm for immediate family and open at 5pm to all who choose to attend the wake.  The Funeral will follow outside the Arbor in a tent on Monday August 31, 2020 at 1pm lead by Father Long. We also would like to thank the nurses and doctors on Unit 42 and Unit 49 who provided quality care to Ann Sharon as well as the Palliative Team.
