It is with great sadness that the family of Captain Roy Piercey announces his peaceful passing at his home in Pool’s Cove on August 26, 2020 at the age of 64 years. Captain Roy leaves to mourn his loving wife, Grace, of ten years (four years married); sons, Jeremy Piercey (Eme) and Gavin Piercey (Shannon), all at Lunenburg, NS; daughters, Courtney Jollymore and Karen, all at Lunenburg, NS; stepchildren, Philip Keeping (Melissa) at Harbour Breton, Marlana Keeping (Terry) at Mose Ambrose, Donna Keeping (David) and Heather Barnes, all at Belleoram; six grandchildren at Lunenburg, NS and seventeen step grandchildren in Newfoundland; sisters, Greta Barnhill (Ted) at Liverpool, NS and Mary Grandy (Philip) at Halifax, NS; brothers, Cyril Piercey (Ivy) at Grand Falls-Windsor, Eugene Piercey (Mary) at Lunenburg, NS and Roger Piercey (Merina) at Belleoram; father in law, Sidney Poole (Ruby); brothers in law, Philip George Poole (Dorothy), Stephen Poole (Doris), Vince Poole (Maisie), Glen Poole (Michelle), Andrew Keeping (Sheila), Roger Snook (Norma), Aubrey Keeping (Martha Jane) and Reuben Keeping (Violet); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many, many friends. Predeceased by parents, Una and Nauss Piercey; brother, Nauss Piercey; mother in law, Esther Jane Poole; brother in law, Allan Isaac Poole; step grandson, Jonathan Keeping; step granddaughter, Ocean Keeping; fishing buddies, Levi Savoury (Sr), Fred Hanhams (Jr) and Levi Hanhams; best friend, Lawrence Poole.
