With deepest sorrow, we announce that our most beloved family member and friend Jeremy (Moots) Todd Forbes, age 34, passed suddenly on August 18, 2020. He was an amazing father to two gorgeous twin baby girls, Gianna and Romie, and loving husband to his courageous wife, Julia Sharon Forbes. He was brother/best friend to Zachary and Joshua Forbes, beloved son to Kim and Dirk Van der Kolk, Todd and Liz Forbes, and much-loved cousin, nephew and grandson. Jeremy was born on May 23, 1986 in Valencia, CA. He moved to Coeur d’Alene, ID with his mom and brothers at age 7, where he made many life-long friends. He enjoyed a fun-filled childhood growing up at the family horse ranch/bed and breakfast in Hayden, ID. Growing up, he participated in golf tournaments, fishing derbies, roller hockey and karate. Those who knew Jeremy, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Jeremy was a very special man, he was proud to be an apprentice lineman, and aspired to be a journeyman. If you were lucky enough to know Jeremy, you would know how he touched so many hearts with his contagious laugh and smile. His enthusiastic and curious personality, and his love for life led him to many adventures and shenanigans with friends, such as skydiving, deep sea fishing, golf, snowboarding, and the thrill of his new career. Not to mention his love of food and cooking for friends and family. He loved his Cowboys and his Kings, loved connecting with his dad and brothers through online gaming, face-timing with his wife and baby girls, and loved his momma deeply. Jeremy was a true friend and a brother to many. He was truly a great soul and always had a kind word or helping hand for someone in need. You could always count on Jeremy to be there, and those who knew him can recall the sheer pleasure of his company and how good he made them feel. Jeremy cared about people in the purest way and loved them for who they were, truly a delightful, generous, easy-going, fun-loving human being. The loss of our Jeremy will leave a hole in many hearts. Jeremy’s family wishes to express sincere gratitude to each and every one of his friends for your prayers, kind words and wonderful shared memories of our sweet soul, Jeremy. We are having a memorial celebration of his life on Saturday September 5, 2020 at 12 PM at Yates Funeral Home – Hayden Chapel, 373 E Hayden Ave, Hayden, ID with a reception to follow.
