William Henry Donald Ross was born to Donald and Margaret Ross (nee Anderson) in Kinosota, MB on July 17, 1930 and passed away on August 23, 2020 at the age of 90 years.

Dad attended school in Kinosota and this is where he got his lifetime nickname of Boiler. Dad was joined in marriage to Violet Campbell on October 4, 1953. Dad spent 89 years of his life on the homestead moving only once a couple yards west into a house he built for us.

Dad worked various jobs throughout the years. He delivered her majesties mail, worked at the Alonsa Hotel as a bartender . He also delivered generations of precious cargo from the Kinosota area to the Alonsa School. He ice fished and held various construction jobs as a grader man. Dad enjoyed chuck wagon racing and rodeos and attended the Austin Threshermen's Reunion as often as he could. Dad was also a big fan of baseball and even pitched (left handed) for the Kinosota Cougars. Dad had a big heart for animals especially horses and dogs.

Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Violet Ross (nee Campbell); his children Margaret Moar, Buddy and Rhonda Ross, Judy and Al Young, Angie Moar and Roxann and Jim Seeley. He is also survived by granddaughters Andrea Ross (Evan), Amy Ross (Will), Devon Ross (Lee), Marsha and Gord Vivier, Kelly Moar (Kurt), Holly And Brendan Annetts and April Houle. . Bill also leaves to mourn his grandson Nolan Moar and great grandsons Clayton Houle, Brogan and Brady Viver and great granddaughters Char and Alex Pinette and Many foster children nieces and nephews and friends.

Bill was predeceased by his Mom and Dad and son Hughie Ross; brothers Lew (Mary) Bates, Joe (Bessie) Bates, sisters Marion (Vernon) Erickson, Doris (Glen) Garrioch and Donalda Ross. Also greeting Dad in heaven are his son-in-laws Artie and Lindsay Moar. Bill was also predeceased by his in-laws Angus and May Campbell.

According to Dad's wishes a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Bill to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba or to the Parkland Humane Society.
