<p>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Leon Carvin Addison, age 92 of Moorefield, WV passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.</p> <p>&nbsp;He was born on August 19, 1928 in Jacksonville, Florida and was a son of the late James Andrew Addison and Lily May (Allen) Addison.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence J. Addison and two sisters, Vivian Driver and Edith Moriaty.&nbsp; Leon was the last surviving member of his immediate family.</p> <p>Leon is survived by his wife of 70 years, Idabell (Lettau) Addison; one son, Roger P. Addison of Winchester, VA and one daughter, Brenda G. Newby and husband Gary of Petersburg, WV; four grandchildren, Christine Merchant and husband Zachary, &nbsp;Terri Newby, Sherri Newby and Jennifer Newby and eight great grandchildren.&nbsp;</p> <p>Leon served in the United States Marine Corps.&nbsp; He was a carpenter and later owned and operated L. C. Addison Construction Company.&nbsp; He attended Bakers Chapel U. M. Church, Moorefield, WV.&nbsp;</p> <p>A private graveside service will be conducted at South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg with Pastor Harold George officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Leon Carvin Addison, age 92 of Moorefield, WV passed away on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

 He was born on August 19, 1928 in Jacksonville, Florida and was a son of the late James Andrew Addison and Lily May (Allen) Addison.
