AARON MIDDLETON

VIRGINIA – Aaron Matthew Middleton, 34, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

He was born on June 23, 1986 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, Illinois and was the son of the late Steven Middleton and Rebecca Kessinger.

Aaron grew up in Rushville where he graduated with the class of 2004 from Rushville High School.

He began his working career at DOT Foods in Mount Sterling, where he was employed for nearly 13 years, prior to accepting a position as a STA with the Department of Therapy and Detention Center in Rushville, where he was currently employed.

Aaron was blessed beyond measure when he met the former Sasha Williams, the love of his life. The two married on May 23, 2007 in Virginia and throughout their 13 years of marriage they have shared in countless laughs, milestones and memories with one another and their two sons.

Aaron worked tirelessly to provide the best possible life for his wife and boys. He enjoyed spending time outdoors on his motorcycle and always remained a true kid at heart - enjoying racing RC Cars; flying drones and playing games with his sons, as well as his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, although he never quite mastered the art, he gave it his all just as he did with everything in his life.  There truly was nothing that provided Aaron with more joy than spending time with his family. Although his time with them was far too short, his love of life; his laughter; and his concern for others will live on in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.

Surviving are his wife, Sasha Middleton and their children, Ethan and Seth, of Virginia; three sisters and a brother in-law, Stephanie Shelby of White Hall; Rachel and Travis Wells of White Hall and Crystal Middleton of Roodhouse; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Charles Middleton.

Per his wishes, cremation rights will be accorded and no public services are planned at this time.

In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be given to his children, in care of the funeral home.
