Arthur Hoppy Max Cantrell

Mr. Arthur "Hoppy" Max Cantrell, age 70 of Hartwell, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center. He was born on June 17, 1950 in Hartwell, Ga., to the late Max Cantrell and Geneva Cobb Cantrell. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and had served as Minister of Music at several area churches. He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by: daughters, Jenny Whitfield of Hartwell and Mary Collins of Pampa, TX ., sister, Barbara Ray of Spartanburg, S.C., grandchildren, Marley Whitfield, Abigail Collins and Eleanor Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Brenda Owens. Funeral services celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors. Rev. Terry Meeks and Rev. Dale Carson will officiate. Burial will be at Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Their will be no formal visitation. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Great Commission Jail Ministry, 13753 Highway 59, Carnesville, Ga. 30521 Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E.
