Frank J. Lujan Obituary

Frank J. Lujan, 92, was called home to our Lord on Friday, August 21, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Theresa T. Lujan and his beloved daughter Kathy L. Sierra.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years Lucy Lujan; his son Joseph Lujan and wife May Sagbaken; son-in-law Jerry Sierra; grandchildren: Angela Montoya, Renee Valencia, Sarah Williams, Andrew Lujan, Lucas Lujan and their respective spouses; seven great-grandchildren; step-children: Martin Chavez, Peter Chavez, Gina Chavez, Carlos Velasquez and their respective spouses;  his siblings: Joseph Lujan, Randolph Lujan, and Gloria Jackson;   and our dear family friend Gaston Boudreau.

Frank was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from ABF Freight Systems in 1988. He was a lifetime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where he served our Lord devoutly. He sang in the choir for many years, served as an Acolyte and was a Eucharistic Minister, taking communion to the sick and homebound. Frank was truly dedicated to his parish, volunteering his time and talents to various maintenance projects throughout the years. In 2002, he was presented with the St. Francis of Assisi award by Archbishop Sheehan for his extraordinary service to the parish. Frank will be missed dearly.

The family is grateful for the exceptional service of his caregivers, Gaston Boudreau, Josie Baca, and Ramon Crespo. 

Pallbearers will be Jerry Sierra, Lucas Lujan, Richard Montoya, Javier Valencia, Anthony Montoya, and Javier A. Valencia.

Frank's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Masks are REQUIRED and the capacity will be held to 50 people. A private funeral service will be held for the immediate family ONLY. The service will be broadcast on Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory's Facebook page on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 9:00 am--please see link below ( you do NOT need a facebook account to view the services.) 

Frank contributed financially to several organizations for many years. In lieu of flowers, due to the current situation, please make donations in his memory to Food For the Poor 6401 Lyons Rd. PO Box 979004 Coconut Creek, FL 33097-9004. 

A public memorial will be held at a later date due to the current pandemic.
