Mr. Ernest McCoy, 61, of 510 Williamsburg Drive, Phenix City, AL passed Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his residence. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Friday, February 3, 2017 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Pastor Steven K. Garrett, officiating. Interment will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL. Visitation is Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 12 - 8 p.m. EST. Mr. McCoy was born December 18, 1955 in Phenix City, AL to John C. McCoy of Denver, CO and the late Georgia Alexander Lawrence. He had served in the US Army and was employed with West Rock DSI Security Service for 22 years. Survivors other than his father include his wife, Delphine Bailey McCoy of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Mary (Terry) Brooks of Columbus, GA; three brothers, Melvin (Doreen) McCoy of Columbus, GA; Anthony Lawrence and Ronald Lawrence both of Phenix City, AL and a host of other relatives and friends.
