Jean T Johnson of Lemitar, NM, born March 10, 1935, peacefully passed away on August 19, 2020 at her home. She was born to Earl H and Martha Imajean (McCarty) Terry in Cooski, Idaho. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, James (Jim) H Johnson; her sons, Terry R Johnson and Jess W Johnson; sister, Leurel Penner; and brother in law Thomas Penner, as well as both of her parents. Jean is survived by her son, F Donald Johnson of T or C, NM; and daughters Joanne (Jodi) Johnson and Darlene L Johnson, both of Lemitar, NM. Jean is also survived by her four grandchildren; Katie Johnson (Robert Perea) of Los Lunas, NM, Denise Otero (Freddie Protextor) of Las Cruces, NM, Rosa Otero (Spencer Anthony) of Los Alamos, NM, and Jazmine Johnson of Las Cruces, NM. She also has one great-grandson, Freddie Protextor of Las Cruces, NM. She loved being with her family and having family dinners for birthday’s, holiday’s and any other reason to get together. Her favorite past time was reading anything and everything. She was an avid reader and cherished her books.
