<p>Cynthia A. Stevens, age 97, of Howard, went to be with Bob in heaven on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Private family services will be Monday, August 24, 2020.</p> <p>She was born in Nashua, MN to Edwin and Hannah Pederson. She married Robert “Bob” Stevens on October 31, 1940. They moved to Howard where she lived the rest of her life. She was blessed with six children, Shirley Claussen and Leanne Nelson of Howard, Robert Stevens of Des Moines, IA; Bill Stevens of Palm Desert, CA, Larry Stevens and Scott Stevens of Ankeny, IA, along with their spouses and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.</p> <p>She attended Bethany Lutheran Church in Howard. She was involved at the church in many ways where her faith in Christ grew and was shared. She had many talents such as painting, quilting, drawing (especially caricatures of individuals), telling Ole and Lena jokes which made people laugh.</p> <p>She was a very special lady who was loved by many. When with her, she made everyone feel as if they were #1!! She will be greatly missed.</p> <p>The family is requesting memorials in place of flowers. They intend to distribute the memorials to Miner County charities and organizations. Memorials may be sent to PO Box 662 in Howard, SD 57349</p>Obituary
