Funeral Services for Gordon Mernitz. 81, of Glen Ullin formerly of Hebron will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Peace Church with Pastor Eddy officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Church Cemetery in New Salem Visitation for Gordon will be one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Gordon passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Marion Manor in Glen Ullin. Gordon was born August 18, 1938, in Oliver County to William and Lucy (Graf) Mernitz. Gordon was raised at Blue Grass and educated in New Salem. He was raised on the family farm where he continued to farm till his retirement. He worked for Northern Improvement and other trucking jobs over the years. He is survived by two nephews, Duane (Katherine) Mernitz, Wayne (Kim) Mernitz and two neices, Mavis (Ron) Watson, Arlene (Calvin) Wittmayer; Good friends Bill (Norma) Breimeier and Leonard Fritz Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lucy (Erwin) Pischel and brother, Fred (Alma) Mernitz.
