Shirley Jean Moore

Shirley Jean Moore 74 of Clare, Michigan passed away peacefully at her sister’s home in Harrison. Shirley was born March 2, 1946 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Wilbur Mac and Bertha Marie (Steigerwald) Heroy. On January 13, 2002 in Munising, Michigan, Shirley was united in marriage to Mr. Bruce Wayne Moore. Mr. Moore preceded Shirley in death on June 6, 2015. Mrs. Moore enjoyed anything to do with nature and Gods beautiful surroundings. She never declined taking a trip, especially with her family. Shirley was very active in her senior complex, she was a lady with many hats, enjoying Bingo, Poker, Casino trips and listening to old country music. Surviving Mrs. Moore are three daughters; Dawn McLaughlin, Cora Butler and Penny Jo Osmun, two sons; Robert Kenseth and Joseph Bodle, one sister, Vickie Flood, many grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and her best friend and fur baby, Gracie. Shirley also was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, RuthAnn Mills-Henry and four brothers; Robert Heroy, James Heroy, Kenneth Heroy and Michael Heroy. Visitation of Mrs. Moore will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2020 from 2:30 -3:30 p.m. at Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison. Visitation will be limited to 10 guest at a time, following COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. Graveside services honoring Mrs. Moore will be held Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. from Pleasant Plains, Cemetery, Harrison with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating.
