Nelda Reid
Mrs. Reid, wife of the late Joseph Bernard Reid, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020. Born on Lookout Mountain in Collinsville, Ala., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rosie Fox Mitchell. She enjoyed gardening, photography and traveling. Mrs. Reid was the family videographer. She was an active member of the Camden Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Surviving are her son, B. Scott Reid (Michelle) of Elgin; sisters, Lorene Boddy and Gladys Borah; and a granddaughter, Alexis Reid, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Arthur Mitchell, Alfred Mitchell, Ross Mitchell, and Chester Mitchell; and sisters, Mertice Mitchell Meyer, Mable Mitchell Joiner and Kathy Mitchell Ringer. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 21, 2 p.m., in the chapel of Moody-Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Moody officiating. Friends may visit the family on Friday, 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Fincher Memorial Cemetery.Obituary
