Mildred C Martell Obituary

Miss Millie, 95, of Bridger, Montana left us to walk with Jesus and be with our family in Heaven on August 12th 2020. She was born in Glendive to George and Lovetta (Church) Cummings and was the youngest of their three girls. She and her husband. Elmer Sr. were very active in the Moose Lodge in Missoula, later moving to Ronan, owning and operating Martell's Cafe for a number of years.

Millie was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in multiple organs, it was a sudden and unexpected diagnoses, because of her age and her wishes, she was brought home and cared for as she wanted no heroic measures. With the help of hospice and friends, we were able to grant her final wish of leaving from home. We are very grateful that we were able to be with her, take care of her, as she did for us and be there for her right up to the end.

She left behind one son, W. Dennis Weiler of Mesa, Ariz. who has been in Bridger since we heard the news, three daughters, Lovetta Lee, Cathie and Cheryl Martell, all of Bridger, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Martell Sr.(1976) a daughter. Cheri Michelle, son, Elmer (Elmo) Jr., her sisters, Ruby and Ruth, a special daughter in law, Sherry Weiler, a special granddaughter, Barbara (Bobbi) Ann.

A celebration of life, remembrance, will take place at the Bridger Civic Center on Saturday, August 15th at 1:00 p.m. Placement of her urn will be in Ronan at a later date.
