David "Davey" Emory

David F. “Davey” Emory has gone to meet his Savior and reunite with his mother and many family members on Wednesday, August 12, 2020. He was 53. Davey was born May 8, 1967 in Athens, Georgia and served in the United States Army. He worked for the Bay District Schools for over 12 years and was employed by the Dumpster Services. He was known for his larger than life personality, making people laugh, keen sense of humor, kindness, generosity, decency, laughter, and smile. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, and making memories. Davey loved his family, friends, coaching football, baseball and the Georgia Bulldogs! He was preceded in death by his mother, Nanada ‘Nan’ Emory and brother, Joseph Chandler Emory. Those left to cherish Davey’s memory include his loving wife, Paisley Emory; father, David Emory Jr; sister, Donna Robinson (Jeff); brother, Matthew Emory (Alma); brother-in-law, Billy Williams Jr (Niki); sister-in-law, Leigh Hawkins (David); sons, Fuller Emory (Naomi), Carlton Emory, and Taylor Paschall; grandchildren, Penelope and Sebastian Emory; nephews and nieces, Jeffrey Robinson, Lucas Emory, Ryan and Jake Emory, Lily Butcher, Trey and Hayden Williams, Kade and Kendall Hawkins. The family has requested private services to be held.

I work for a local roll-off company and would pass David almost daily arriving or departing the local landfill. Although I never knew him on a personal basis, he always waved and had that “larger than life” smile. Truly a blessing each and every day.

I had the privilege of meeting David in high school. He was a kind and beautiful person. I often thought of his gentle nature. I’m sorry for his loss.
