Margaret A. Sobek, age 100 of Saginaw passed away August 13, 2020 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Center.  The daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Karaba, Margaret was born July 11, 1920 in Saginaw. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.  She married Victor F. Sobek and he preceded her in death in 1996.  She worked at Fanny Farmers Candy Store prior to and during World War II.  Her favorite pastimes were working crosswords and reading. She enjoyed taking long walks, playing Bingo, attending church picnics, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She also liked camping trips to Big Bay, Michigan.

Surviving are 2 children, Vicki Rand, and Gary (Karen) Sobek; 5 grandchildren, Lindsay Bryce, Gary Sobek Jr., Joshua Sobek, Hanah Sobek, and Jessica Rand; and 5 great grandchildren, Sebastian and Evangeline Bryce, Amara Prince Sobek, and Dylan and Ty McLean.

She was preceded in death by her 5 siblings, Dominic, Martin, Michael, Tony, and Helen.

Services will take place at a later date with Interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Saginaw.
