Dorothy J. Larson 70-year-old resident of Brainerd, MN passed away August 14, 2020, at her home surrounded, by her loving family. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 17 at the Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Dorothy was born on October 1, 1949 in Brainerd, MN to Clifford and Anne Pickar. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Larry Larson on August 23, 1969 at the First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd. The couple worked as dairy farmers. Dorothy was a devoted sister, spending time with her sisters every Thursday for “Sister Day.” She cherished her grandchildren greatly and family meant everything to her. Dorothy enjoyed many pool parties with her family. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Larry Larson; sons, Nick (Tisha) Larson, Brandon (Cindy) Larson; sisters, Peggy (Bill) Erickson, Micki (Emil) Hines, Nancy (Mark) Larson; grandchildren, Samantha, Lexi, Chase, Kenzee, Kylee, Carter Larson; honorary son, Bucky Larson; honorary daughter, Angie Larson; honorary granddaughters, Brittney, MiKayla, MiKinze Boeder, Madison, Jasmyn, and Tianna Larson. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Hattie Sunde, Irene Goble, Verna Kramer, Bobby Pickar, Donna Sunde, and Ricky Pickar. Arrangements are with the Halvorson Taylor Funeral Home in Brainerd.
