<p><strong>Ms. Ruth P. Mann of Pantego, N.C.</strong> entered eternal rest on August 13, 2020 at River Trace nursing Home in Washington, N.C.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mrs. Ruth Pearl Farrow Mann was born April 12, 1938, to the late William Farrow and Annie Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Ernest, Earl, Morgan, Charles, Sondra James and Blanche; and one son, Marvin B. Mann.</p> <p>In 1956 Ruth married Luther Mann, who was a devoted husband, caregiver and the love of her life. The couple&rsquo;s morning greeting was always begun with a kiss. Oftentimes throughout the day, Ruth would say, &ldquo;Honey, I love you!&rdquo;</p> <p>Mrs. Ruth Pearl Farrow Mann pursuit was always education. She initially attended Drake Business School and Market Training Institute.</p> <p>In 1974 she earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from East Carolina University. In 1980 she earned her Master of Science degree from North Carolina A&amp;T State University. Ruth taught for 38 years in Beaufort County School System and was certified to teach grades K-12 Math, English and Science.</p> <p>During her lifetime, she received numerous educational and community related Certificates of Achievements.</p> <p>Ruth was a devoted church member at Weeping Mary Church of Christ in Pantego for 45 years. She also served as the Church Secretary for many years and sang in the church choir.</p> <p>Ruth Pearl Farrow Mann was best known for her purity of heart. The epitome of love, she was always concerned for the well-being of humanity. If you had the opportunity to encounter the spirit of Ruth Pearl Farrow Mann, then you automatically understood that you are receiving genuine love, genuine lessons and genuine assistance in your overall life. As a community figurehead, Ruth Pearl Farrow Mann&rsquo;s positive and insightful lessons will be cherished until the end of time and beyond.</p> <p>Continuing her legacy, she is survived by: her husband, Luther Mann of the home; her sons, Hector G. Mann (Vickie), Steven Mann (Linda) and Bruce Mann; her siblings: Ledrew Farrow, Carver Farrow and Velma Roland; and fifteen grandchildren. Ruth had many friends; however, there were two very special friends who still visited her throughout her years of sickness &ndash; Hattie Whitley and Clementine Jones, who she loved dearly and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.</p>
